Hi Guys. Im going bush portable with a year 10 College group this week.

Aiming to be on air Mole hut Monday night 21 September 7.45pm ish.

Unsure how the rest of the trip will play out in terms of hut activations, may be camping out. Possibly Tiraumea or Downie hut later in the week.

Otherwise we will catch you on the Net from Mataki lodge Thursday evening.

Saturday 22nd we will be overnighting in Lock Hut at approximate grid ref: 1766382 5433080, not far away for us, situated up behind Brookfield scout camp at the back of Moores valley, Wainuiomata.

3.690-ssb from 7.30-8.00 ish may also use 5.353-ssb

Will be on air qrp portable at 7:00pm (7:30pm net night).

Have been struggling to stay awake till later sched time thus far!

Headed over to the west coast for some winter tramping - and the radio's coming too.

19/6/2020 - Blowfly Hut (Cook/Haast CA). Overnighter from road

20/6/2020-23/6/2020 - Whataroa River to Ice Lake. Nolans Hut, Lower/Upper Butler Huts. Stan's Hut. Exact timing and details wx dependent.

On air 7:45-8:15 nightly. 3.690 (backup 3.585 or 7.090 if in use or QRN).

Of course the current front might dump footloads of snow and change everything. Catch me on the net tomorrow to find out!
